Crocs has released a romantic, rainy-season video advertisement featuring South Korea’s Chae Soo-bin and India’s Siddhant Chaturvedi.
The K-drama-style short video features an enemies-to-lovers plot set in a rain-drenched city, blending cultural elements from Crocs’ Southeast Asian markets.
The story opens with Soo-bin enjoying a rainy day under her umbrella when a passing car splashes her with water from the road. Behind the wheel is an unapologetic driver, played by Siddhant, who rolls down his window, flashes a smirk, and speeds away. But karma — and Soo-bin — soon catch up with him, setting the stage for an unexpected romance in the rain.
A Crocs press release fills in the characters’ backstories: Soo‑bin portrays a free‑spirited creative who wears her heart on her sleeve, while Siddhant plays a stoic industrial chaebol‑turned‑tycoon.
“Crocs become the unexpected symbol of connection and individuality, with the narrative brought to life through signature K-drama aesthetics — from soft lighting and dramatic close-ups to Hangul signage and slow-burn romance,” the release explains.
In the Crocs video, Soobin gives a Korean heart Jibbitz™ charm to Siddhant — a gesture that says what words can’t and brings their love story full circle.
Soo-bin played the lead female role in the hit Netflix K-drama “When the Phone Rings.” For his part, Siddhant starred in the Indian Netflix film “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.” Their onscreen chemistry in the Crocs ad reportedly led Indian fans to call for a full-length movie featuring the pair.
Conceptualized and produced by Kulfi Collective, the video underscores Crocs’ mission to celebrate individuality and self-expression.
“Monsoon is one of our most important commercial moments across Asia, and Crocs is built for it — both functionally and emotionally. This campaign is a bold step in cultural storytelling, blending the rising influence of K-dramas with the timeless appeal of Bollywood through a pairing that’s unexpected yet perfectly in sync. In India, our launch of Monsoon Special Jibbitz™ charms further deepens local relevance, reflecting our commitment to tapping into meaningful moments with creativity and intent,” said Yann Le Bozec, Head of Crocs International Marketing.
Kulfi Collective Co-founder & CCO Akshat Gupt added: “With this campaign, we wanted to do more than just make an ad — we wanted to tap into the pulse of pop culture across Asia. By combining the emotional pull of K-dramas with the star power of Bollywood, we created something that feels deeply familiar yet fresh. It’s a tribute to the fans, to the format, and to Crocs as a canvas for self-expression. This is cultural storytelling at its most playful and most powerful.”
The 360-degree campaign featuring Chae Soo-bin and Siddhant Chaturvedi is now live across Crocs’ digital and social platforms in India, China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
