Ahn Bo-hyun, Go Kyung-pyo in ‘The Backpacker 2’
Ahn Bo-hyun (“Flex X Cop”) puts on his chef’s hat again as he returns in “The Backpacker Chef 2.” The cooking variety program features South Korea’s top celebrity chef Baek Jong-won. This season also introduces newcomers Go Kyung-pyo (“Reply 1988”), Lee Soo-geun (“Knowing Bros/Men on a Mission”), and Heo Kyung-hwan (“Battle Trip”).
In “The Backpacker Chef,” the cast members are given a limited set of kitchen tools and ingredients in a backpack. Their mission is to prepare a personalized dish in an unfamiliar place. We will see how Ahn Bo-hyun and the rest of the cast will take on the challenges with more clients, a more demanding environment, and an upgraded backpack in “The Backpacker Chef 2.”
Ahn Bo-hyun, who recently visited the Philippines for a fan meeting, is known for his attention to details in plating his dishes. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see Go Kyung-pyo in “The Backpacker Chef 2” as the actor has not appeared in a lot of variety programs.
“The Backpacker Chef 2” premieres on tvN Asia this June 4, with a new episode every Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. Philippine time. You may also catch the show on Viu Philippines as it drops on May 27.
‘Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale’
If you’re in the mood for a new romantic comedy drama, you’re in luck because “Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale” will premiere on tvN Asia this June. The drama stars Lee Jun-young (“The Impossible Heir”) and Pyo Ye-jin (“Moon in the Day”). It tells the love story of an arrogant chaebol heir and a woman who dreams of a Cinderella-like romance. Despite their differences, a surprising romantic journey unfolds between them.
“Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale” premieres on tvN Asia this June 1. Two new episodes will air consecutively every Saturday at 9:15 p.m. Philippine time.
‘The Player 2: Master of Swindlers’
Fans of the crime action series “The Player,” which premiered in 2018, will finally get the second installment “The Player 2: Master of Swindlers” this June. The K-drama stars Song Seung-heon (“Autumn In My Heart”), Oh Yeon-seo (“Cafe Minamdang”), Lee Si-eon, Tae Won-seok and Jang Gyu-ri. “The Player 2: Master of Swindlers” puts together five elite con artists as they join hands to catch lawbreakers who get away with crime by money and power.
“The Player 2: Master of Swindlers” premieres on tvN Asia this June 4, with new episodes every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:15 p.m. Philippine time.
