A 4Minute Encounter

Like we mentioned earlier, Korean girl group 4Minute is here in the Philippines to promote their songs Hot Issue, Muzik and What a Girl Wants. Yours truly got the chance to meet the girls in an interview and what can I say? They are really charismatic and cute. When they saw us coming, they immediately stood up and said “Mabuhay! Kami ang 4Minute.” (Hi! We are 4Minute!) I was impressed because they made some effort to learn the language and greet us. They also keep on saying astig, bongga and after the interview, they thanked us in Filipino which is “salamat po.”

The interview was around 15 minutes or so. They were asked who their favorite singers were and they did not name one because there’s a lot of them. They would also want to star in a drama series if given a chance and said that So Hyun maknae is their favorite actress because she has acted before. Meanwhile, Ji Hyun asked their fans to wait for their behind the scenes video that they would present before their performances because it would show their different side that they haven’t seen before.

Catch them in their mall shows tomorrow at SM Megamall and on Sunday at SM North EDSA. They will also appear on ASAP this Sunday and at MYX on Monday.

FT Island Showcase in Manila

Korean boy group FT Island (Five Treasure Island) will be on Manila this coming March 6, 2010 to hold a concert showcase at the PICC Plenary Hall. This is the first time that a Korean group will hold a solo performance after Shinee and Mighty Mouth performed last November 2009 for the 60th Anniversary of the Philippine-South Korea relations.

FT Island is composed of Choi Jong Hoon (vocals, guitar), Lee Hong Ki (main vocal), Lee Jae Jin (rapper, bass guitar), Song Seung Hyun (rapper, guitar) and Choi Min Hwan (drums.) Lee Hong Ki is recently seen in the hit television drama You’re Beautiful as Jeremy, the cheerful drummer of faux group A.N.Jell.

Ako Si Kim Sam Soon (Episode 54)

The engagement party becomes a riot when Sonia and Mrs. Ruiz get into a fight again.

Cyrus walks out of the party and KSS follows him. She asks whether he slept with Hannah. Cyrus lies and tells her that nothing happened between him and Hannah.

While everyone is fighting, Eliza busies herself with the champagne.

Hannah insists something happened between her and Cyrus. KSS dares her to prove that she’s really pregnant. Sonia joins in and announces that KSS is pregnant too. KSS and Hannah dare each other to go to the hospital to prove who’s really pregnant.

At the hospital, Cyrus is getting worried that Hannah might really be pregnant. He recalls the time she seduced him. He goes on to tell KSS that he’s intent on marrying her whatever the results may be.

KSS and Hannah undergo a checkup to see who’s really pregnant.

While waiting, Chris talks to Cyrus. Cyrus admits that he really did sleep with Hannah. Eliza overhears their conversation and goes to tell her mother.

Meanwhile at the restaurant, Chef Dina catches James speaking to someone on the phone about what’s happening in the hospital. She beats him up upon discovering that he’s been playing the role of Marcus’s spy.

The test results are out. The doctor announces that Hannah is pregnant.

KSS confronts Cyrus. Cyrus tells her the truth about what happened to him and Hannah.

Ako Si Kim Sam Soon (Episode 43)

Hannah notices that Cyrus seems to be distracted. She invites him to watch a movie but he refuses.

Meanwhile, Vincent hits KSS’s date. She thanks him for saving her from her horrible date. Vincent asks about her boyfriend Cyrus, whom he met during his date with KSS. KSS lies and tells him that he’s dead.

Maureen finds Eliza crying while Des consoles a distraught Kokoy.

Cyrus and Hannah have a drink. Hannah tries to kiss him but he makes an excuse about needing to see Amber.

Kokoy and Des get drunk and Des finally gets a chance to seduce him.

The next morning, KSS receives a text from Vincent while Kokoy wakes up naked beside Des.

KSS gets a visit from Hannah who tells her to leave Cyrus alone. She even asks KSS to resign from her job at the restaurant.

Cyrus searches frantically for the stuffed pig KSS won in the arcade. He finds it and remembers the time he spent with KSS. Chris sees him in this state and wonders why he’s holding a stuffed pig.

Eliza is bullied in school by Ivy and her gang. One of her schoolmates tells her that he knows who’s behind the plot to bring her down.

Cyrus looks for KSS at the restaurant but Chef Dina tells her that she doesn’t know if KSS is coming back. KSS finally arrives. She tells him that she’s resigning for good but Cyrus won’t accept her resignation. He reminds her of the money she owes him.

Cyrus is still distracted by his feelings for KSS. He imagines the stuffed pig talking to him.

Meantime, KSS goes on a date with Vincent.

Ako Si Kim Sam Soon (Episode 42)

In school, Ivy plans an elaborate show to reveal Eliza’s secrets.

Meanwhile at the restaurant, Hannah pretends to be sick and asks Cyrus to feed her. KSS sees them and Cyrus seems worried that he’s hurting KSS.

KSS tells Chef Dina that she’s done fighting for Cyrus’s affection. She hyperventilates.

Cyrus falls asleep in his office. Hannah hears him mumbling that he loves KSS. This pisses her off so she deliberately wakes Cyrus.

Back in school, Eliza is introduced as the muse of the varsity team. However, Ivy shows a video about Eliza’s fakery. Eliza is humiliated in front of the whole school.

Hannah talks to Dr. Henry about Cyrus. She thinks Cyrus is really in love with KSS, which makes her worried.

Meantime, KSS goes to the mall and tries to rub off her pessimism about men to another couple. Her dad Samuel, shows up in her imagination to lift her spirits. He tells her to continue fighting for Cyrus.

Chef Dina sets up a blind date for KSS. She hesitates at first, but agrees in the end. However, KSS gets disappointed when she sees her date Sergio.

Aaron is furious at Eliza and tells her that he doesn’t want to see her again. Eliza is distraught. Kokoy goes to her side but she disses him, thinking that Kokoy was the one who spilled the beans about her.

KSS’s blind date turns out to be not only lacking in the looks department but is rude as well. KSS is unimpressed. After dinner, he tries to get a kiss from her. Luckily, Vincent, the guy who KSS met in a previous blind date, shows up.

Ako Si Kim Sam Soon (Episode 41)

Marcus reports to Cyrus’s mom that Hannah went to the restaurant to confront KSS. He thinks that Hannah may be lying about having cancer.

Meanwhile, KSS and Hannah go on with their fight. Cyrus sees them and scolds Chef Dina for not stopping the two. He gets mad at KSS for picking a fight with Hannah.

In school, Ivy plans to spill the beans about Eliza while Kokoy and Des go on a date. Eliza sees Kokoy with Des.

KSS and Chef Dina talk as the former feels upset. Cyrus berates her for fighting with Hannah. He then reveals that Hannah has cancer.

Hannah gets a visit from Dr. Henry. He invites her out but she refuses.

KSS feels guilty and visits Hannah at home. She apologizes for picking a fight with her but Hannah will only accept her apology if she stays away from Cyrus.

Dr. Henry tells Hannah’s friend how he met her in the States. He narrates how Hannah left Cyrus because she wasn’t ready to get married yet. He and Hannah had a relationship but broke up as well because she still had feelings for Cyrus. Hannah’s now pretending to be sick to get Cyrus back.

Ako Si Kim Sam Soon (Episode 40)

After KSS treats Cyrus’s bruised lip, she tells him that she’s going back to the restaurant so that she could pay off her debt. Cyrus tells her that she doesn’t have to pay him back because he was the one who violated their contract.

Cyrus’s mom is pissed when she learns that KSS is still working at the restaurant. She asks Hannah why she hasn’t gone there yet.

Meanwhile, Eliza’s friend Ivy is getting jealous over Eliza who’s attracting more attention from their group.

Back at the restaurant, KSS tells Chef Dina that she has decided to fight for Cyrus.

Eliza’s rich friend smell something fishy about Eliza. Meantime, Kokoy talks to Eliza about going home and patching things up with her mom. Aaron sees them and warns Kokoy not to go near Eliza.

Cyrus brings Amber with him to the restaurant to see KSS. Cyrus wants to leave Amber with KSS while he works but Amber asks him to stay. The three of them bake a cake.

Ivy talks to Kokoy. She asks him to reveal what he knows about Eliza’s real identity but Kokoy refuses say anything.

Sonia goes to Maureen’s house to see Eliza but she’s told by the maid that Eliza hasn’t come home yet. Ivy and her friends see Sonia leaving the house. They ask the maid about Sonia. The maid reveals to them that Sonia is Eliza’s mother and that Eliza doesn’t really live in the mansion.

Hannah goes to the restaurant and confronts KSS. The two have a catfight.

Ako Si Kim Sam Soon (Episode 39)

Hannah approaches KSS and insults her. KSS imagines cutting off her tongue. Hannah and Cyrus leave while KSS and Harvey split the bill.

Sonia is still distraught over Eliza. She gets a hug from Dodong. KSS catches them in an awkward moment so Dodong pretends that he’s gay.

Meanwhile, Maureen’s husband and mother-in-law leave her alone in the house to go abroad. Eliza seizes the opportunity and asks Maureen if she could stay with her for awhile. She tells Maureen that she ran away from home because her mom found out about her fraud. Maureen agrees to let Eliza stay with her.

Cyrus is in a foul mood, shouting at a driver who’s car is parked in front of his. Hannah notices this and wonders whether he’s pissed because he’s being jealous over KSS’s date. She then pretends to be sick to get his attention. Cyrus denies he has feelings for KSS.

KSS finds out that Eliza is at Maureen’s. She tells Sonia about it and they agree to let her stay there for awhile. Sonia notices that KSS seems to be distracted. KSS reveals that she and Cyrus have broken up because he’s back with Hannah. Sonia consoles her daughter.

Cyrus thinks about KSS and Harvey getting back together. Chris invites him for a drink and Cyrus asks him to investigate something.

The next day, KSS looks for work. Cyrus sees her and takes her with him.

In school, Eliza bullies another student. Her rich friends join her and seem to be at awe after seeing Eliza’s classy outfit, which she apparently borrowed from Maureen. Meanwhile, Des takes Kokoy to school and gets all flirty with him.

Cyrus takes KSS to see Harvey and Cherry who are getting their fitting for their upcoming wedding. Harvey approaches them and gets a punch from Cyrus. The guys throw fists at each other.

Cyrus tells Harvey not to play around with KSS and leaves. Cherry thinks something is going on and nags at Harvey.

KSS asks Cyrus why he’s so mad at Harvey so he tells her that Chris found out that Harvey is still still getting married to Cherry. KSS wonders if he’s just being jealous and she notices Cyrus’s bruised lip.

KSS treats Cyrus’s lip and asks him why he’s so worried about her and Harvey. Cyrus tells her that she can’t be with any one else but him and kisses her.

Ako Si Kim Sam Soon (Episode 38)

Aaron sees Eliza in school and notices that she’s depressed. She lies and tells Aaron that her mom is angry at her because she wants Eliza to accompany her to Europe.

KSS consults a doctor about getting a liposuction. She agrees to undergo the procedure but changes her mind when she sees the dirty bed and apparatus. She decides that she doesn’t need to change herself for someone else.

Eliza packs her things and decides to leave home. When Sonia arrives, she looks for Eliza and sees all her things are gone.

KSS goes inside a restaurant only to see Cyrus and Hannah who are there on a date. Cyrus asks if she’s with someone and KSS tells him that she has a date. Hannah wonders whether KSS is telling the truth.

Sonia confides on Dodong about Eliza. They call her cellphone but she doesn’t answer. Meanwhile, Eliza doesn’t know where to go with only P20 left on her pocket.

Cyrus and Hannah go on with their dinner date while KSS looks on. She crawls her way close to the two but gets caught when she bumps on someone.

Meantime, Kokoy gets a visit from Gigi’s friend Des. She gives her a letter from Gigi who apologizes for pushing him to confess his feelings to Eliza.

Hannah humiliates KSS for pretending she’s on a date with someone. Harvey appears and rescues KSS by pretending to be her date.

Back at home, Sonia calls the cops to look for Eliza but she’s told that they have to wait before they declare her daughter missing.

Harvey and KSS pretend to be on a date as Cyrus looks pissed. KSS and Cyrus try to make each other jealous.

Cyrus talk to Harvey in the men’s room and warns him not to hurt KSS.

Ako Si Kim Sam Soon (Episode 37)

KSS tries to return the plane tickets that Cyrus gave her. Cyrus consoles her so KSS thinks that everything is well between them. She tells him that she thought she saw him with Hannah the other night. Cyrus, who’s now feeling guilty, tries to tell her the truth but his mom and Marcus show up.

Dr. Henry asks Hannah out for coffee but she refuses. He makes her feel guilty that he’s risking his medical license by pretending that she has cancer and then blackmails her so she would go out with him. Hannah halfheartedly agrees to go out for drinks.

Back at the restaurant, Cyrus’s mom reveals to KSS that Hannah and her son are back together. KSS asks Cyrus whether this is true and Cyrus admits it.

Kokoy talks to Eliza and tells her off for being rude to her mom.

KSS walks out and Cyrus runs after her. She finally ends their contract relationship and leaves for good.

KSS contemplates on her luck with guys. She wonders if she’d ever find true love.

Meanwhile, Cyrus’s mom reassures him that ending his relationship with KSS is the right thing. However, Cyrus looks sad and doesn’t want to talk about it. Hannah shows up.

While pigging out, KSS tells Maureen about her breakup with Cyrus. Maureen advices her to take care of herself so others would respect her.

Amber asks Cyrus why he seems to be depressed. She wonders if it’s because KSS is not around.

KSS thinks seriously about losing weight. She contemplates on getting a liposuction and imagines herself with a slimmer body.

Cyrus and Hannah take a stroll. She asks Cyrus if he wants to go out and Cyrus tells her they could bring Amber with them. But Hannah rejects the idea, saying Amber may have to sleep late if they tag her along and that they need to spend time alone. Cyrus seems disappointed.

KSS decides to lose weight to get Cyrus back.
