Hallyudorama’s 5-second encounter with Kim Hyun Joong

Ji Hoo in da hauz!

Hallyudorama was able to drop by Broadway Centrum today to see Kim Hyun Joong in the flesh. I’ll try my best to give you the details since the experience was a bit of a blur to me.

This morning Hanneebuff and I were given permission by our wonderful bosses to see Hyun Joong and give in to our inner fangirl. And so I packed my bag and brought one of my BOF albums with me, just in case we’re allowed to get his autograph.

We arrived at the Broadway Centrum before 12nn. Everyone was busy preparing for Eat Bulaga’s live show where Hyun Joong was to make an appearance.

But before that, GMA-7 reporter Nelson Canlas was given a chance for a one-on-one interview with Hyun Joong. So there we were, waiting for Hyun Joong for about an hour. We were told that they won’t allow any picture taking or autograph signing but I took Hanneebuff’s camera nonetheless. But just our luck, her camera’s battery was low. Good thing her friend brought along a small digital camera.

We knew that Hyun Joong was already in the building because huge, burly men lined up near the holding area.

And then he came, clad in his Ji Hoo attire. I immediately noticed how nice his skin was though I’m not sure if it’s the make-up. Hanneebuff thinks it’s BB Cream, lol. We immediately entered the room where he will be interviewed. However, there were just too many people so we were asked to step outside. I was only able to take one shot.

Maybe it’s because I did’t have any breakfast or maybe I was just starstruck but my photo taking skill sucked. Or maybe I was just intimidated by how many people were telling us not to take photos, hehe. Well, better than nothing at all.

We waited outside while Nelson did the interview. He was given only five minutes and about three questions because of Hyun Joong’s tight schedule. Don’t forget to watch 24 Oras tonight for the exclusive one-on-one interview.

Meanwhile here are some tidbits…Nelson asked Hyun Joong about his ideal girl and what he thinks about the Philippines. When the interview ended, he asked Hyun Joong for an autograph and Hyun Joong was gracious enough to sign a photo, owned by Hanneebuff’s friend, even though his interpreter was telling him not to. He also personally handed the autographed photo to Nelson, while bowing and stuff. What a nice guy.

And that was our five or was it ten seconds encounter with Kim Hyun Joong. At least now I can say I was in the same room as Ji Hoo!

After his Eat Bulaga appearance, Hyun Joong and Beast had a press conference at Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Kim Hyun Joong has landed

Yup, that's his departure card. Don't ask how we got it. We have our sources, teehee..

He’s here! Yup, Kim Hyun Joong a.k.a Yoon Ji Hoo of Boys Over Flowers and leader of the Korean boyband SS501 is now in Manila. He arrived this morning for a one night concert with the Korean pop group Beast, entitled “K-Pop Meets P-Pop Beast Live in Manila,” at the Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.

For die-hard fans, here are some tidbits about Hyun Joong’s arrival. Our Hallyudorama friend who was able to see him told us that Hyun Joong really has great skin and that he looks even prettier (pretty being the operative word) in person. He was also very gracious to those who went to see him at the airport. Our source also told us that Hyun Joong apparently forgot to bring a pair of shades. He was supposed to borrow one but his stylist decided to buy a pair at the duty free store. Be sure to catch 24 Oras tonight to see Kim Hyun Joong and his new pair of shades.

Aside from the concert on Saturday, Hyun Joong will be in Abreska for an event tomorrow. He will also appear in several entertainment programs on GMA-7. On Saturday Sunday, he will fly to Cebu.

Spotted: F2 and Jan Di in SS501′s Concert

Lee Min Ho, Goo Hye Sun and Kim Bum reunited to show support for their Boys Over Flowers co-star and friend Kim Hyun Joong who’s back in the concert scene with his group SS501. Sweet!

The threesome were seen together watching SS501′s concert at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul. I read that Kim Joon was supposed to show up too but unfortunately his musical Youth March had a show running.

SS501 will also visit Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand for their Asia Tour Concert.

Here’s your chance. The BOF cast were in Japan just last April and they will be back there this September.

How cool is that? The good news is that all of the main cast will be there except for Kim So Eun (sigh, no Soeul couple). However, SS501 and T-Max will be there to perform the music from the OSTs. This is making me all giddy. Now I just have to book myself a flight and brush up on my Nihonggo. Sugoi!!!!

SS501 holds fan meeting in Hong Kong

ss501 fanmeeting in Hong Kong

International fans of SS501 were treated to an afternoon of fangirl excitement as they get the chance to meet their favorite group at a fanmeeting held in Hong Kong Wednesday last week. The fanmeeting was part of the promotion for SS501′s Persona Tour Concert which will start August this year in South Korea.

SS501 consisting of Kim Hyun Joong, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong, Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Joon sang five songs including “Because I’m Stupid” from the original sound track of the hit Korean series “Boys Over Flowers.” The song was originally sung by only three of the members because their leader Hyun Joong acted in the drama as Ji Hoo, one of the F4 members, while Jung Min was in the musical Grease.

Aside from the mini-concert, there was also the question and answer portion where fans got to know more about their favorite members and the group as a whole. Fans went ecstatic when five of them were chosen to receive flowers from the boys and have solo pictures taken with them. These girls have lady luck on their side! Before the end of the event, fans were given a once-in-a lifetime chance to take group pictures with the boys. Now who could beat that?

The event which was held at Hitec in Kowloon Bay was attended by an estimated 1,200 fans who came not only from Hong Kong but also from the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and the faraway Australia and Canada.
