Korean boy group FT Island performed in ABS-CBN’s Showtime yesterday much to the delight of their screaming fans.  The band performed the song Still/As Ever from the original sound track of the Korean drama You’re Beautiful (S/He’s Beautiful, 미남이시네요) where their lead singer, Lee Hongki, played the character of Jeremy who is the drummer of the faux group A.N.Jell.  After singing, Lee Hongki said “Jolie” in his Jeremy voice. Now, how cute is that?!? Mytor and I actually screamed when we heard him while we were at the office.

Afterwards, Jaejin invited the fans to watch their showcase today (March 6) at the PICC which will start at 6:00pm.  Hong Ki also encouraged the fans to watch You’re Beautiful which will be airing soon and said, “Mahal ko kayo” (I love you all) at the end.

Like we mentioned earlier, Korean girl group 4Minute is here in the Philippines to promote their songs Hot Issue, Muzik and What a Girl Wants.  Yours truly got the chance to meet the girls in an interview and what can I say? They are really charismatic and cute.  When they saw us coming, they immediately stood up and said “Mabuhay! Kami ang 4Minute.” (Hi! We are 4Minute!) I was impressed because they made some effort to learn the language and greet us.  They also keep on saying astig, bongga and after the interview, they thanked us in Filipino which is “salamat po.”

Fans of Korean girl group 4Minute rejoice!

The girls just arrived yesterday and will be having their mall tour starting today at the Mall of Asia.  They will also be at Megamall and SM North this weekend. Aside from that, they will also be performing in ASAP this Sunday and will be appearing on Myx on Monday.

Korean boy group FT Island (Five Treasure Island) will be on Manila this coming March 6, 2010 to hold a concert showcase at the PICC Plenary Hall.  This is the first time that a Korean group will hold a solo performance after Shinee and Mighty Mouth performed last November 2009 for the 60th Anniversary of the Philippine-South Korea relations.

FT Island is composed of Choi Jong Hoon (vocals, guitar), Lee Hong Ki (main vocal), Lee Jae Jin (rapper, bass guitar), Song Seung Hyun (rapper, guitar) and Choi Min Hwan (drums.)  Lee Hong Ki is recently seen in the hit television drama You’re Beautiful as Jeremy, the cheerful drummer of faux group A.N.Jell.
