2NE1 is back in the Philippines

February started as a good month for Filipino 2NE1 fans as their favorite group is in the Philippines for, what we can assume, a vacation since they have no scheduled fanmeetings or concert this time.  MTV Iggy’s Best New Band in The World was last seen in the country June 2011 for their concert “The Party” in Araneta Coliseum.

Before leaving S. Korea, Park Bom tweeted a picture of Sandara Park who looks very happy for the trip.  She said “We are now head~ing to the Philippines! A photo of Darong in celebration!”

The group arrived at NAIA Terminal 1 via Korea Air which landed at 11:27 in the morning.   Some fans were waiting for them outside the airport with banners.  A lucky fan was able to see them close enough to take pictures of the four of them together.

[EVENT] 2011 Music Festival Manila feat REWIND: A KPOP MUSIC FESTIVAL

Here’s another event for all Filipino Kpop fans! *clapswithglee*

Remember the days when there was still no high-speed internet connection available and you have to wait 5 hours to download a 5 minute, LQ music video? How about printing (and laminating) the pictures of your favorite artists that you found over the net because posters were expensive and difficult to obtain back then?

Relive those good, old Kpop days with the 2011 Music Festival Manila feat. REWIND: A KPOP MUSIC FESTIVAL this coming Saturday, September 17 at Hall 3 of the SMX Convention Center. Listen and groove to the songs sung by H.O.T, SES, Fin.K.L, Click B and many more.  Spend your day participating in the fun activities prepared by the different Kpop fanclubs and complete your collection of fangirl stuff through the concessionaire booths who will be present at the event.

Tickets are priced at P120.  There will be pre-selling from September 14-16 at the SMX lobby but do not worry because tickets will still be available on the event day itself.  Gates will open at 10:00am so do not be late! For more information, visit PKCI’s event  page here.

Remember, our favorite artists now won’t be here if not for these first generation Kpop groups. *coughdbsk5memberslikehotcough*

See you all there!!!

The “2011 Music Festival Manila feat REWIND: A KPOP MUSIC FESTIVAL” shall be held anew in conjunction with The 32nd Manila International Book Fair, the country’s premiere book event, slated on September 14-18, 2011 at Exhibition Halls 1-4 (G/F of SMX Convention Center)

Reasons why you should watch Sungkyunkwan Scandal

All the regular readers of Hallyudorama must have known by now that I am a big TVXQ/DBSK/Tohoshinki fan, which therefore, is the main reason why I started watching the sageuk fusion drama, Sungkyunkwan Scandal.  Park Yoochun, who is now member of the trio JYJ, played the male lead role, scholar Lee Seon Joon who is probably the most good-looking nerd ever.  However, as the drama progressed, I was surprised at how good it was in terms of plot and character development.  I initially thought that it will be an F4 meets You’re Beautiful or Hana Kimi kind of drama because they said that it will be story of a girl who pretended to be a boy to be able enter a university during the time when women were not allowed to study.  However, this drama turned out to be much more complicated and exciting.  I fell for it, hook, line and sinker and I want other drama watchers to give this drama a chance.  It may not be the highest rater in its timeslot because it went against the other historical drama Dong Yi but definitely Sungkyunkwan Scandal is a gem of its own.  Here are the reasons why you should watch Sungkyunkwan Scandal.
