As announced by BOFPH, Kim Joon’s scheduled visit to the Philippines was cancelled at the last minute because of his health condition.

There were supposed to be two events today. The morning event is the opening ceremony where Kim Joon would be appointed as an honorary ambassador. The afternoon event was supposed to be a fan signing event with the fans. However, due to Kim Joon’s illness (he was diagnosed with H1N1), he was not able to travel.

Just this afternoon, I got really psyched as I got wind of the news that Kim Joon, who played the role of Song Woo Bin, one of the Korean F4 on Boys Over Flowers is coming to the Philippines to hold a meet and greet with the fans of the hit Korean drama on November 30. To coordinate the details about the fan event, Group 8, the producers of the drama contacted the BOFPH admin. Only 55 members of the BOF fan club will be able to join the intimate gathering and so the tickets would have to be raffled among the BOFPH members.

As Hanneebuff said, we did get to see Kim Bum in the flesh and I’m going to tell you how we got Lady Luck on our side.

Like most of you, we only got to know about Bummie’s arrival last Wednesday when Hanneebuff got a phone call from a friend. You can only imagine how stressed out we were what with the typhoon and office work and trying to find a way to get to see him. A good friend offered to get us in on Bummie’s scheduled visit to ABS-CBN and so we were ecstatic. Anyway, that night we tried to snoop around and do some stalking but to no avail, hehe.

Mytor and I got the chance to see Kim Bum in flesh today despite the heavy rains and all that jazz. Truly, the long 4-hour wait was worth it most especially when he flashed his million-dollar smile.
