You’re Beautiful, East of Eden to start airing next week
The long wait is finally over because two of the most anticipated Korean dramas are premiering on Philippine television this Monday, August 16.
l-r: jung yong hwa, jang geun suk, park shin hye, lee hong ki
First to show on the 5:30pm timeslot in ABS-CBN Ch. 2 is the trendy drama He’s Beautiful (aka You’re Beautiful) starring Jang Geun Suk as Tae Kyung, Park Shin Hye as Go Mi Nam/Mi Nyu, Jung Yong Hwa as Shin Woo and Lee Hong Ki as Jeremy. These three guys plus one girl (who’s acting like a guy) comprise the famous idol group A.N. Jell. As Go Mi Nam tries to hide her identity as a girl from the fans and the rest of the group, a lot of drama, laughter and mishaps happen which is definitely worth looking forward to. Watch this romantic-comedy and discover why it has become a hit last year.

Replacing Queen Seon Deok in the evening primetime slot on GMA7, after Endless Love, is 2008′s most anticipated drama in Korea, East of Eden. Starring Song Seung Hun (Johnny of Endless Love 1), Yun Jung Hoon, Lee Da Hae (My Girl) Lee Yeon Hee, Han Ji Hye (Sweet 18) and Dennis Oh, this drama tells the intertwined fates of two different men born on the same day at the same time. It also stars Kim Bum of Boys over Flowers as the young Song Seung Hun. Pegged as MBC’s 47th Anniversary Special Project, the drama’s timeline starts just after the Korean war up to the present time.
These two dramas are from different genres but both are worth watching. Catch them on the two networks and immerse yourself in the romance, comedy and intrigue that these Korean dramas always bring.
