I didn’t know that the Meteor Garden theme song Qing Fei Dei Yi had a Korean remake for Boys Over Flowers until my friend sent it to me. (Kamsahamnida eonni!) Anyway, I adore it so much since I also loved the original version which was sung by Harlem Yu. Whenever I hear this song, it brings back memories of the Meteor Garden craze that swept through our country.  Plus, the video of Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu and Ken Zhu frolicking at the beach kept on playing on my head.  Don’t you just love those picture perfect moments?!

This version was sung by Kim Yeon Woo who also had a song in the OST of the drama Hong Gil Dong.  I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I did.  Download the song here.

Perhaps love by nature is a sorrowful thing. Do you agree? Well, that’s just one of the themes of Zettai Kareshi. This drama toys with the idea of finding the perfect lover or kareshi. What would happen if a robot solely dedicated to love is just within your reach? Will s/he really be the right one for you?

I wasn’t interested in watching a sci-fi Jdorama at first but since I wanted to venture into all types of Jdoramas, I tried this one, and despite the bittersweet ending, it was indeed a fun watch.

This entry is completely non-related to Asian dramas or music. However, we just can’t resist sharing this video because it has become an inspiration to a lot of people.

SUSAN BOYLE is a contestant in the reality show Britain’s Got Talent with Simon Cowell of American Idol as one of the judges.  She is the current youtube phenomenon with more than 30 million viewers watching her video in one channel alone since it was uploaded last April 11. There are at least 10 users who have uploaded the same video and also received the same overwhelming response.  So what made her very famous?

Okay, before everyone get their hopes up, I’d like to say that as of this writing, KBS has not made any announcement yet about any Boys Over Flowers Special. Given that awful April Fool’s joke about a special, I’m trying my best to take this bit of news with a grain of salt. But I still can’t help but be thrilled at the prospect.

This video shows some never before seen footage of my boys (I just love the sound of it!) in what appears to be a Boys Over Flowers Special to be shown on April 28 (Tuesday). It shows the F4 visiting their old school Shinhwa. Goo Jun Pyo seems to be preparing for a special date. So Yi Jung is shown carrying a bouquet of flowers. Song Woo Bin embraces a girl (He gets one finally!). And Yoon Ji Hoo seems to be preoccupied with a Geum Jan Di inspired snowman. But where’s Goo Hye Sun?

Some sources say that the special is actually a 25-minute music video. Personally, I’d take anything BOF-related just to get me out of this depressing BOF-less world.

On other BOF-related news, the taped guesting of F4 and Goo Hye Sun in the Japanese TV show SMAP x SMAP will be shown on April 27 (Monday) on Fuji TV at 10 p.m. Japan time (9 p.m. RP time). If you have TVAnts, you can go watch it there.

One of the sure signs of drama withdrawal syndrome is that you can’t stop searching for news about the cast, behind the scenes videos as well as NGs or bloopers. And that’s exactly what I’ve been up to for two weeks now since Boys Over Flowers ended. It’s getting really bad and I know I have to get over this soon because there are tons of work to be done and other dramas to talk about.

Anyway, there are tons of videos out there and I’m sure BOF fans have already seen them. It’s just fun to look at how the actors interact off cam like in this NG. Kim Bum is just adorkable while mouthing Lee Min Ho’s dialogue while shooting a scene from episode 24.
